Okay so I want to know some stories of online dating and how it worked out?
I am talking to this sweet nerdy guy and he wants to meet me in 2 years and I have seen him on cam. We talk about random stuff. I am just wondering how well it went.

I’ve got one girlfriend who married a guy she met online (they’ve been married 3 yrs now, dated at least 2 prior to that). My best girlfriend will have been with her guy 3 yrs in June, and they met online. I’ve known personally and know of many more people who dated/married people they met online.
Conversation…same thing you’d have with someone offline (depending on your typing skills).
I’ve dated a number of guys I met online. No long term relationships occured for me, but no horrid experiences either, and I’ve made some great friends, met interesting people, and had some nice dates.
With good judgment and caution, I recommend it as a tool to use in meeting people, but don’t discount the typical offline methods as well. I doubt I’d have the patience to wait 2 yrs to meet someone from online though, that’s too much of ones life to put on hold for something that may not work out face to face.

The answer will be somewhat different if you are talking about communicating through an online dating service or if you just met someone in a chat room. Online dating services are great – they match you up with someone with the right personality for you. If you met someone through another source, you should be careful – you don’t really know who they are. Regardless, you should talk with them honestly and be yourself. Don’t pretend to be someone you are not or it will never work out. My brother met someone through a dating service and now they are married and are the perfect couple – they are so much alike. now we are just about to hit the 1 year mark together an we are both really happy and in love so i say go for it in my experiance its opened my eyes because i have never felt what i do with her for anybody else before , internet dating has a stigma attached to it but i dnt know why because its more common than people think , but why does he want to wait 2 years ?????
I had a friend who met her boyfriend online. They were talking to each other for almost three years before they met in person.
But by the time they met each other they knew each other better then they knew themselves, so it was amazing. They have a really great relationship.
So yeah, it can work. Give it a go, and see what happens.
