This book is horrible. In chapter 11 on page 255 it talks abut how sexually transmitted diseases are a problem for singles. This is not
true if you are following GOD’s laws. Guess people should have listened to GOD instead of Man (or Woman). It talks about AIDS being a horrendous nightmare but it wouldn’t be if everyone followed GODS laws. Aside from Getting AIDS from birth or a blood transfusion I don’t have much sympathy for people with it. If everyone waited until marriage and only had 1 partner for all time then there would be no sexually transmitted diseases.
They certainly aren’t a problem for me. But they are a part of one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They are pestilence. No sexually transmitted diseases put constraints upon me because I follow GODs
laws. And the bible talks about that because inquity shall abound the love of many shall was cold. It seems my love waxes cold (meaning I can’t find a spouse) because inquity does abound. It’s hard to find a decent woman with so much inquity abounding. Like the bible says…He who joins his members to a whore is basically a partaker of the whoredom.
And so because inquity abounds so do sexually transmitted diseases.
And so the 4 horsemen are at work (War, Plague-Pestilence, Famine, and Death) from the 4 first seals in Revelation opened by the Lion of the tribe of Juda. Because after all the Lion and the Lamb are the same person in different roles.

There was some insightful information in the book and, if purely used for the ‘how to find a mate’ program (i.e get out there, date many, dump anyone that’s a dead-end quickly), it probably works.
She does have some inaccuracies in the book, though. For example, she talks about STDs, but only actually mentions AIDs (as if it was the only life-changing one). She implies that using a condom will prevent all STDs, but some of the worst STDs are not stopped by condoms! For another example, she seems to believe that the only reason a woman will stay with a loser is an ‘easy to stay in’ attitude, but studies have shown that when women have sex, they release a hormone called oxytocin. This makes women feel extra warm and fuzzy for their sex partners. Thus, a woman gets very attached to her sexual partner very quickly (more attached than circumstances otherwise warrant), making it difficult to realize they are in dead-end romances and then to leave them.
Finally, though this probably doesn’t matter for most of her readers, this books comes from a very secular view-point. Personally, I get my self-esteem from knowing God thinking I’m beautiful and loves me. Therefore I wonder if her secular approach to increasing self-esteem really works.

I am a Christian, and although this book is not written from a Chrsitian viewpoint, the advice is hopeful and excellent!
I read a lot, and this is a substantial (not fluffy) book. Buy it!

I found that the author makes several false assumptions as to why people are single. The suggestions were not relevant, helpful or useful in any way. I’ve wasted my time and money on this book. I do not recommend.

This particular book was very hard on the eyes to read and I found it difficult to stick with it. There are other books available that present the same information in a much more user friendly manner.
