I met someone special who lives in New York City. It’s not that expensive a flight to see her. We have several weekend trips planned over the coming months. What is the best way to get to know someone and date someone who lives almost 1,500 miles away? I need some Long Distance Dating tips.
u just need to trust the person. ive been in a 3 yr long distance relationship and we talked a lot over the phone, sent emails, etc. it just sometimes felt like we were right there with each other. there’s really not that much into it u just need to trust the person. and if u love each other im sure everything will work out for the 2 of u.

here is my suggestion, don’t do it. long distance relationship does not work, unless you or her plan to move otherwise it will not work. i tried it, it didn’t work. my friends tried it and it didn’t work for them too. we all have physical and emotional needs, which long distance relationship does not full fill those requirements (not always).
Phone calls! Or, if you’re cheap like me, you could just go with the voice over IP stuff. Yahoo! Messenger is great for that. Just get a microphone and have her get one too. You can chat without tying up the phone line (I sound like a commercial…) Also, suggest that you both do the same thing at the same time. Like, make a wish at 11:11 everyday. Then you can know that you and her are doing the same thing at the same time and feel connected. Long distance is hard though… Be prepared for it not to work unless one of you moves closer eventually.
Communicate often, it will work.
