seems to me that a lot of people on here have forgotten the basic dating rules eg about who asks who out who phones who…
and brownie points for anyone who can remember them

Are you referring to the olden times when girls would never ask out or call the guy? Guys were totally in control and always had to make the first move?
Couple things in response to that.
1) If we waited for guys to do everything, nothing would ever get done. No offense guys.
2) We don’t live in the 1960s anymore. This is the 21st century. Times are changing. Keep up or shut up.
3) Furthermore, those “rules” were made at a time of severe sexual discrimination. Women cooked, men worked. Those rules were sexist. They aren’t relevant to current times.
It’s cute to see a guy hold open a door for his girlfriend, of course. And it’s always sweet for them to pay for dinner. But it’s equally nice for the girl to occasionally pay. I mean, she makes money too, doesn’t she? Romance is cute and sweet in moderation, but not in excess. We’re not in an old black and white film. This is real life. And it’s changing. Things can’t always stay the same. Traditions are cute, but sometimes they need a bit of modernization.
because people dont care anymore. they dont care if a girl asks a guy out. or if the guy doesnt pay for something. or holds a door open. they think its old fashion. its something grandparents do. personally…i like the old ways of dating and stuff. its cute and romance like.
Who gives a crap what the rules are? Love is messy and complicated and stupid “rules” do nothing but to make it dry and boring. This isn’t the 1950’s.
what are the dating rules????
what rules…do what you want….no such thing as rules…your not in class….
