Does Internet Dating Ever Work For Anyone?

I have been cyber dating this guy since November. I’m married but on the verge of divorce. I feel I’ve fallen in love the the other man, he lives far away but wants us to be together. I’m confused cause not sure if it’s legit. Although he’s understanding and giving me my space to figure out what to do in my marriage. Any sound advice…cause I’m confused.

I’m confused too. I was one of those people who thought internet dating was a bunch of bull and just plain creepy. Then, 3 months ago, a guy from Sweden started talking to me. Now, he has enough to back himself up i.e. youtube videos, lots of legit pictures, etc. Believe me, I wouldn’t be talking to him still if I thought he was fake. He’s not really pressing anything on me, but I feel myself becoming infatuated with him. Never had this feeling before, and it is confusing, because you’re developing feelings for someone you don’t know personally. You may think you do, but you don’t. You should figure out your marriage, and just go VISIT the guy, don’t sleep with him if possible, just do a regular date thing to see if you guys are even compatible in person. I really do know what you are going through though. Everytime my “cyberfriend” says something nice to me I think, “Why can’t he be closer?” It’s kind of depressing, and a bit strange..

hmmmmmmmmm i think dating over the internet is super dangerous if you go and meet them, And you’re still married, that’s kind of cheating in a way, just because you’re not getting along with him doesn’t mean you can go behind his back and talk passionately to another guy. but then again i don’t know the whole story,
just all in all its dangerous.. :/

Internet dating, i.e. meeting someone on the internet on a site like match.com definitely does work. Having a “cyber-relationship” that turns into a real relationship most often does not. But, you never know. Just don’t assume anything or have any expectations until you meet in person.
