What Are Your Opinions On Online Dating?
Have you ever been in an online relationship? If so, how did you find them and how long did it last? Did you ever meet up?

I think they are a bad idea, especially if you are young. I was in an online relationship, and it wasn’t as fulfilling as a relationship where you can see and hold the person. FYI, they could definitely have more cyber girlfriends in addition to you; mine did. Find a real relationship, it is more fulfilling and a better experience over all.
Hi there,
Online dating which has seen a massive growth, is getting so much recognition and forming an entirely new concept of dating through a virtual world. While there are some definite advantages it has some side affects or I rather should say the disadvantages. Affects of going online changes your life, routine habits and with all that, of course time.
I am not an expert in this field but I am very well experience with online dating concept and I have helped people make smart choices. I have shared my personal story at the end of this article to help you make the best choice too. I found lot of advantages of online dating but lets talk about some disadvantages that you must be aware of.
Online dating needs you to be online and requires you to sit in front of a computer. People who are beginners might find it very easy but what they don’t realize is that its like an addiction and definitely requires you to have time and money too in some cases. If you get involved in someone online then don’t even think about getting away from your computer and you get so addicted that in result you start to miss out meals, proper sleep and great time with friends. Well it does not stop here I can go on and on such as getting away from family and other important relationships. That’s all without even thinking or realizing that you can be exploited by someone online.
In addition also don’t forget the chances of getting into a scam of a dishonest person who is tricking you to get some money out of you. There is also a chance that you register with an online dating website and find out they don’t even have enough members for you to have a chance to find someone.
These were just some problems of online dating and if taken care, you can still have number of advantages, as internet provides a wider selection of women and men. You can visit many websites and even search for the type of person you feel to have a relationship with. As a benefit you can know that person better before you meet him or her.
Hi. Yes I have been in an online relationship as well as a few dates with other guys but it never got any further than just a few dates. The longest one was lasted for about 2 years and it ended like any other relationship that I’ve been in – nothing at all to do with the fact that we met online. The initial dates can be a bot nerve-racking to say the least. I suggest that you have loads on online conversations before taking that step. Even chat on the phone when you’re ready. And only then should you go on a date. I’ve met some guys via dating sites that I’m now friends even though it didn’t go any further – which is still a bonus. Best advice I can give you is don’t rush into anything. Take your time to get to know the other person and then take more time to get to know them even more. I’ve recently read an article on this. You should check it out.
It can work for some people, finding love online. I know of people who have got married and had children who have met online.
If you are going to go down that path you need to be very good at filtering through alot of people to find the genuine ones and the ones you have something in common with. It is also hard to work out just from photos if there is going to be any physical chemistry.
I did actually put my profile up on a dating site for a short while, but I found that I got bombared with emails from people who I didn’t actually have anything in common with, even though I put up on my profile the things I was intersted in.
Yes, and it’s in it’s 2nd year!
Some other friends have found their boyfriends and husbands via online dating (two are now married to their online dates). I can’t decide whether we’re just very lucky or very savvy when it comes to online dating.
This site is really useful for picking out which dating sites are best:http://www.mydatinggenie.com/
I found my current b/f on DD, S found hers on Match, L on UDate, T on Guardian Soulmates and I’m not sure about the others – I’ll need to ask them – it’s difficult keeping up!
I’ve been in one and currently am in one. We’ve had webcams chats and we plan on meeting when he’s able to drive over, he lives about an hour away from me. We’ve been together for almost a year and have known eachother 4 months previous to that.
i did it alot but it bugged me only cause i was never able to be with the person in real life cause he didnt live in my state but i thinks its somewat ok to meet them online and then be able to hangout n my last online datin lasted 3 months or more
My uncle found his wife online. They’ve been married for 4 years and are very happy.
