How Is Online Dating Supposed To Work If Both People Are Far From Each Other?
I have tried online dating, most people I meet are many miles away. Do some people think that i will be so attracted and madly in love with them that even though we could meet for a week or so a year that we could have a successful relationship? if I am in California and she is in Maine, it isn’t a trip you make every weekend.

online dating is a thing created for people who need a back up plan. So people date the ones that are close to them, but also chat with their “dates” online. In case the real bf or gf are going to break up with them, the online buddy is always there to talk and support. I would not call an online dating a real dating, it’s more of a friendship.

it can very much happen bc we started talking in august of 2006 and started dating online n september of 2006 and he lived 4.5 hrs away from me but we pulled thru anddidnt let anythng come between us i mean we talked everyday on here (the pc) or the phone everyday expect one and its bc i was n the hospital for surgrey but u can bet i talked to him that night when i got home

you have to make the most out of it. You both have to make an effort. If you don’t want to date someone you can’t see each weekend, or everyday.. then you need to change your settings to where you get matches in your area only.
