There is nothing like actually “seeing” someone who catches your eye for one reason or another. You can watch them from “afar” & see how they interact w/others. You can actually get a personal “feel” for someone when you’ve had a chance to see them. There’s just “nothin like the real thing baby”…:)
I have a health issue with cigarette smoke, so smoky rooms are out.
Of course it’s more natural and romantic to meet in real life.
My only problem with that is that I’m too picky to just hope I randomly bump into The One. (and when I’m not picky, it’s an open invitation to be accused of “settling”)
I want to maximize my chances of finding this woman. Thus, online dating. In the end I don’t care how we managed to find each other, so long as we did.
Of course, if she wants to trade stares from across the bookstore, that’s fine too.
Hi, I know on-line dating can be treacherous , you never know who you are really talking to, but is it any different than meeting some guy at a bar? At least if you’re online and typing legibly, then chances are, your sober enough to spot the fibs. That’s just my opinion, of course I am a bit biased, I met my husband on-line.
It’s much better to meet a real person in your real city. That way, you have much less chance of them lying about their age, if they are married or engaged, career, education, family and friends. Many times internet stuff is just a bunch of lies and it’s dangerous, too.
Online dating is a great way to use current technology to our advantage, and can be highly successful in creating lasting and significant relationships.
Most of those folks in the crowded corner in a smokey room are drunk or high. Ask me. I’ve met them.
